I am from Newcastle, England and have lived in Barcelona since the late 90s.

I worked in sales and business development for many years, eventually becoming head of Spanish business development for a multinational company. I was also the de facto copywriter, responsible for company communications and marketing material. I began publishing as a semi-professional freelance journalist in 2001 before eventually taking to the keyboard full-time.

My wife is Catalan and we have a son and daughter whose Spanglish and Catalangles are developing nicely.
